In 2017, MBA Pathshala’s founder was scribbling formulas on a chalkboard, guiding a handful of students through Quant problems in a cramped classroom. By 2020, that world disappeared. Classrooms shut down, coaching centers closed, and teachers everywhere were left scrambling for survival.

For many, it was the end of the story. But for MBA Pathshala, it became the beginning of something entirely different.

Armed with little more than a marker pen, a camera, and an idea, the team ventured into the unfamiliar world of online teaching. At first, the results were shaky — videos that barely got watched, technical glitches, and the endless grind of creating content with no guarantee anyone would care. But somewhere along the way, students started paying attention. The numbers began to tick upward.

Within months, the channel that started as an experiment had built a loyal following. Within a year, it had exploded. And students weren’t just watching anymore — they were asking for more.

That was the moment MBA Pathshala realized they weren’t just moving online to survive. They were building something much bigger.

The Turning Point

When offline classes shut down during COVID, MBA Pathshala’s founder faced a choice: fade with the old system, or rebuild online from scratch.

“I started teaching in 2017 to small batches of 40–50 students,” he recalls. “But after COVID, offline completely stopped. If you weren’t teaching online, you weren’t teaching at all.”

That’s when he turned to YouTube. Within six months, his new channel—MBA Pathshala—grew to 12K subscribers. Within a year, it crossed 60K. The market of 2.5 lakh CAT aspirants was massive, and students were clearly listening.

Building Something Bigger

But YouTube wasn’t enough. “Just teaching wasn’t the whole job anymore. Suddenly there was marketing, sales, creatives… things I had never done before. It was all very challenging in the beginning.”

In September 2023, MBA Pathshala launched its own website and app. That’s when the need for a reliable LMS became non-negotiable.

Why Graphy

After trying another platform, the team moved to Graphy. The difference was immediate:

  • Course creation and packaging were easy enough that even new hires could pick it up.

  • Live + recorded classes worked seamlessly, without the glitches that frustrate learners.

  • Graphy’s CLX player let teachers take classes from anywhere—even on mobile internet—without needing a full studio.

  • Managing both the website and the app didn’t require extra staff.

“Graphy made things smoother for us and for our students. From the teacher’s end and the learner’s end, it just works.”

The Secret Sauce

MBA Pathshala’s growth didn’t come from flashy ads or endless spending. In fact, less than 1% of revenue has gone into marketing. Instead, the entire business has been built organically.

The “secret sauce” lies in three things:

1. Trust at the top of the funnel

Free YouTube sessions, marathon webinars, and doubt-clearing classes became the foundation. Students first experienced the teaching style without paying a single rupee. Once trust was built, conversion into paid courses became natural.

Students didn’t just need teaching—they needed a smooth experience. With Graphy, every detail was handled: live and recorded classes, easy navigation on the app, reliable performance even on mobile internet, and access to materials in one place. This consistency removed the usual friction that causes dropouts.

3. A teaching team that scales

“It’s not just about one good teacher,” the founder emphasizes. “If you want to grow as a team, every educator has to be solid.” MBA Pathshala ensured that every mentor—from Quant to LRDI to VARC—delivered the same clarity and care. With Graphy acting as the backbone, new teachers could be onboarded faster and still offer students a seamless experience.

The result: a business that runs almost entirely on organic word-of-mouth, where free content sparks curiosity and paid courses provide structure and results.

Expert Corner: Advice for Other Creators

MBA Pathshala’s founder is clear about one thing: growth isn’t just about the platform or the content—it’s about patience and product–market fit.

Start with YouTube

Udit says that the best platform to validate your business idea is YouTube. While it does take time, it is one of the most reliable platforms to ensure that your business will be profitable.

“YouTube is the best testing ground. It’s free, and it forces you to improve. Don’t expect results in a month—give it at least a year. I uploaded over 200 videos before I realized the real potential.”

Demand matters more than marketing

“Ask yourself: is there demand for what you teach? Marketing can only work up to a point. If your subject isn’t in demand, even the best marketing won’t save you. But if students truly want to learn from you, even organic methods can scale to seven figures.”

Organic first, paid later

While most startups chase ads from day one, MBA Pathshala went the other way. “Build organic reach first. Let students come to you because they trust your free value. Once you’ve proven demand, you can always add paid ads—but by then, your funnel is already strong.”

Keep your systems simple

Don’t overcomplicate your tech. With Graphy, everything is in one place—courses, live classes, app access. That simplicity means we can focus on teaching and scaling, not on fixing tools.

Focus on feedback loops

Every video, every class, every mock test became a feedback loop. “Students tell you what works. If a video or course doesn’t click, you’ll know. If they keep coming back, double down on it. That’s how we shaped our flagship courses.”

For aspiring creators, the advice is straightforward: don’t chase hacks, build trust, and let the right platform carry your teaching to scale.

Flagship offers

MBA Pathshala now runs structured programs like CAT 2025 Booster Courses, OMETs Batches, and CAT 2026 Courses.

Each one includes:

  • Live and recorded sessions

  • Comprehensive study materials

  • Mock tests

  • Doubt-clearing and mentorship

  • Full app + web access through Graphy

Looking Ahead

MBA Pathshala isn’t stopping at CAT prep. With student demand pouring in, the team is planning expansions into new exams and subjects.

“There are a lot of plans now,” says Udit. “Students often tell us, you should cover this exam too. We’re building a team to make that happen.”

The vision is clear: stay organic, stay trusted, and let Graphy power the systems so the educators can focus on what they do best—teaching.
