While Ed-Tech entered India a few years ago & only catered to online coaching institutes. Top-notch course creators soon realised the value of having a secured & reliable course platform like Spayee in the functioning of the business.
Early 2019, Spayee launched its course platform, paving a way for course creators who were looking for a secured & scalable online course platform. Whole 2019, Spayee reached out to Coaches, Trainers & Educators and gave them the cushioning. We made our product better, making sure our customers are at ease, always!
However, what happened in 2020 has been pure magic to edtech industry.
Spayee weathering the storm during the Pandemic
Spayee, which was already clocking a healthy double-digit, month-on-month growth before Covid-19, suddenly got a massive boost. There was a massive inflow of global course creators who were operating on an offline based model. Spayee gave them quick relief. We helped them replicate their whole offline model into an online education system, with ease.
We hired more resources, trained more people & worked around the clock to make sure more opportunities were created & the economy could be revived. And most importantly, we made sure our customers have a seamless experience.
How we have impacted lives in 2020
In 2020 alone, we impacted more than 2.6 million learners across different segments.
Approx 1.7 Cr+ enrolments happened in the courses published through Spayee, with a yearly growth of 9.5X from 2019.
Most importantly, our efforts have created 3200 new jobs.

Spayee has been among the startups who managed to weather the storm & post impressive revenue figures in 2020. It revolutionised the way online learning is perceived in India. Right from top educational institutes to creators who are fitness trainers, Food bloggers, Yoga instructors, Dance & Music trainers or have any other training programs are now an integral part of Spayee.
- The total sales (GMV) in 2020: 83 Cr with 600% rise from 2019
- Numbers of educators who earned more than INR 1 Cr : 17
- Numbers of educators who earned more than INR 50 Lacs : 8
- Numbers of educators who earned more than INR 10 Lacs : 93
Hitting the 1,000 magical number
With offline institutes yet to reopen, E-learning continues to be on the rise. It’s no surprise that there are more than 1,000 course creators who are now associated with Spayee.
And, we couldn’t be happier & prouder!
However, it wouldn’t have been possible without constant improvement. We persisted the whole year and made Spayee the best version of itself. We gathered feedback & improvised ourselves.
